Performances with clients
These participatory projects focus on clients with Korsakoff's syndrome. They are inspired by their personalities, their lives with the condition, and the search for connection with themselves, others, and society. The material for the performances usually originates from dance therapy sessions and is subsequently developed into performances (2020 - 2025).
These projects have been made possible by the (financial) support and collaboration of Woon- en Expertisecentrum Domus Nostra, Saffier.

Appearance: Visit of Queen Máxima, 100 years Loosduinen
Participation: Dance therapy and performance group “Suave”
Every week this group goes to Theater Dakota. We drink coffee in the Café and afterwards have a therapy session / rehearsal in a professional dance studio.
This project offers the residents of Domus Nostra the opportunity to actively participate in society and foster mutual social cohesion. In the spacious dance studio, they will experience more freedom and scope for movement, both literally and figuratively.
Video: Peter Humme
The content of this video was created during dance therapy sessions and became a central scene in the “Planet of Love” theatre project Space Travel.
Peter would have danced this scene with me, but his physical condition deteriorated quickly.
We made this video as a precaution, in case he was no longer able to perform, but also to honour him and to raise awareness of dance and movement therapy for people with Korsakov’s syndrome.
Dance: Peter Humme & Regina Magnus
